i strongly advise anyone not to look right because looking right is so conventional.

so, for the sake of stepping back and looking at the bigger picture.
look left.

service with a smile.

shine your shoes sir?
fix you tie sir?
bake you a pie & serve it with love sir?
i'll keep proper & prim,
with eyes only for him,
and be faithful until our time has come.
i'll let you do me,
& call me tootsie,
and i'll put up with your late nights at "work".
when you come home,
i'll get off the phone,
and pamper your sore feet till dawn.
and when the day breaks,
and the children wake,
we'll keep calm and carry on.

the three musketeers.

one for the money,
two for the show,
three to get ready,
and here we go...
all for one, and one for laughter.
their only weapons are their pearly whites,
watch your back, when faced with the musketeers,
you are surely to lose.
smile when the killers invite you to tea, because you'll be there for a while,
and soon you won't want to leave.
that might just be because you have lost your way home.
think like them.
smell like them.
talk like them.
no harm done,
the three musketeers strike again!

strength in the cracks.

don't get weak arms,
special girl with the bright eyes,
for you are young and know only good.
keep your dimpled cheeks sky high and walk with pride,
for you are you, and no rock or stone will ever change that.
the years might be colder then ice,
but that wont freeze your thoughts.
express yourself & mark you miles,
even though, i'll be watching from the sidelines as you grow.
you don't need much to skip, hop, run,
just don't get weak arms, special girl with the bright eyes.

you are my sweetest downfall, i loved you first.

you leave me bruised and battered,
weak in the knees and shaking.
you were my sweetest downfall, and i did love you first.
but that love grew thin, and wore bare.
who cares? not you, my love, who once opened my eyes to the possibilities and gave me the ears to hear the wondrous world.
but no more, you are gone, you don't talk, you don't breath, just gone, like a faint and distant memory,
may you lie softly and sigh once more,
because whilst you may be alive to others,
you are not to me.

you are my sweetest downfall, i loved you first...

i have an asian friend.

i have an asian friend.
i have an asian friend, two to be specific.
but im talking about this one today.
when i first laid my eyes on her she couldn't not escape my grasp.
and she was stuck being my friend forever, but i knew she’d love it eventually.
she gets sad when she gets C’s in her assignments, she calls them ‘asian fails’.
and she is funny, so very funny, and is skinny, sometimes i think she doesn't eat enough dim-sim... is that too racist?
oh well, she knows i love her more then the last finger on my hand,
(no offense pinky, but really, you have no use... i wont lie)
anyway, i just felt like sharing about how wonderful she is.
:) that is all

that awkward moment where everything you once believed in so much, turns around and slaps you in the face.

shock, confusion, disbelief.
we all go through it, it’s a natural walk of life.
as humans we have two instincts: fight or flight,
and applying this to the situation of shock or disbelief, we find ourselves either: suppressing emotion or going completely and mentally insane.
both, are terribly bad for us, and hurt no matter what we do to make the pain go away.
but we pick ourselves up, and we keep walking, no matter how many times we fall over it.
if we can’t walk through it, hit it with force.
and if that doesn’t work... then you know you’re in a pickle...

anyone have the time?

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years.

They all seem like a lifetime away.
It creeps up on you like a spider hanging above you in the shower,
it comes as such a surprise it can even make you scream.
Out of joy, or out of horror, but you can never stop it.
That clock will just keep tick, tick, ticking...
